# Release notes

These notes list the changes to Ampworth, newest first.

## 3 October 2026

This release adds a calculator for the network connection and serves guides, articles, and questions as Markdown.

- The network connection route calculator works out whether you can connect solar panels and batteries and then notify the network operator under Engineering Recommendation G98, or whether you need the operator's approval first under G99.
- You can read every guide, article, and question page as Markdown. Add `.md` to the end of the page's address.

## 2 October 2026

This release gives the JSON API a stable, versioned address.

- The JSON API moves to `/api/v1`, and `/api` stays as a permanent alias.
- An OpenAPI 3.1 description documents the API, with open response schemas and a published versioning policy.

## 7 September 2026

This is the first release of Ampworth.

- Two whole-system calculators size solar panels and heat pumps from a household's own bills.
- Advanced calculators each implement one published Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) method and show their working.
- Guides, articles, and questions cite the MCS documents they draw on.
- The JSON API and two MCP servers are open to anyone, with no key or sign-up.
